- Program includes coverage of three different locations: Foot Clinics of New York, Metropolitan Hospital Center and Lincoln Hospital Center.
- Responsible for surgical pre operative evaluation (including medical and financial clearance process) as well as surgical postoperative follow ups.
- Experienced in taking radiographs of the foot and ankle.
- On call duties (including consult for minor and major foot and ankle emergencies).
- Training in elective forefoot surgery, reconstructive surgery and trauma surgery.
- Proficient in internal fixation of the foot and ankle.
- Exposure and significant interest in foot and ankle deformities and external fixation.
- Extensive experience with diabetic limb salvage interventions and wound care.
- Chief resident responsibilities include supervision of 5 co-residents, preparation of yearly, monthly and daily schedule, assistance and teaching of junior resident and serving as back up on call.
- Involved in the teaching of junior and senior students from New York College of Podiatric Medicine (including case presentations, lectures, workshops and hospitalist).
